The department is led by the Fire Chief, who is responsible for the overall leadership and strategic direction of the department. The Fire Chief oversees the city’s Office of Emergency Management and the department’s two Deputy Chiefs, who are responsible for each of the four major divisions of the department; Administration, Operations, Community Safety, and Training.
